Sophos XG 310 STAS ISSUE

Hi All,

In our network, we installed the STAS (Version 2.2.3.0) client to the Domain Controller with less than 100 users previously the log off detection settings are enabled and suggested by our provider support to disable this and enable from the firewall the Enable User Inactivity for 2 hours before logging off. with that solution we are still encountering logging in users are not redirected to their correct firewall ID THIS ISSUE ONLY OCCURS TO RANDOM USERS BUT OTHERS DOES NOT ENCOUNTER THIS PROBLEM, This is the scenario we are encountering, for example, Mr.John logged in to his workstation and he belongs to Normal Website users once he successfully logged in to the system he opens his browser and he does not have an internet connection BUT has local network shared folder access. It turns out that the STAS was not able to move Mr.John to the Normal website users firewall ID rule the reason why he does not have any internet connection but we do not have a Lan-Wan Rule enabled since all users have a specific firewall ID to be placed on once they logged in to the system. An Irritating and temporary solution to this STAS PROBLEM is we need to manually to restart the "Authentication Services" of the Sophos XG 310 Firewall so all users will be placed to their correct firewall id and web site access.

Hoping someone could shed some help with our issue.
