Which methods authentification on Sophos XG?

Hello. Im interested in which methods authentification have my sophos? Currently clients used "Client authentification agent or authorization in WEB portal. I want it to be easier and hidden for users. I want to connect the device in network and it without problem got IP. Tell me please, how do it easy. Sorry for my English!

    Hi and welcome,

    do you have a AD in your network that the users authenticate to? If yes you can add a connection between the XG and the AD.

    I cannot give specifics, there are KBAs on the subject though.

    Most of our Customers uses STAS (Software on DC). Some uses SSO Client (Software hidden on Client). Some uses Captive Portal (Web Browser Login). Less uses NTLM. Less uses Clientless User (IP to User match on XG itself).

    In V17.5, there will be a Heartbeat Authentication, if you use the Central Endpoint (Called Synchronized User ID).

    both you and Micheal have referred to v17.5 which implies we should have a beta available?

    The Beta starts internally in the first phase and will be available after first testing from our site for the Partner / Customer landscape. Also partners and internally there were some presentation about new features.

    STAS configure together with AD? I don't have AD. Can I to realize STAS without AD?

    and i dont have any Domain .

    Hello ,

     

    AD is mandatory for STAS, SSO, NTLM. You can user Clientless Authentication method if your user has static IP or as suggested by MBP, if you are using Sophos Endpoint wait for 17.5 and you can user Heartbeat Authentication.
