SSLVPN on XG210 Firewall

WE are using SSLVPN on XG210 Firewall.  USers are connecting with Sophos client.

UNder what conditions do I have to ask users to update the sophos client. Right now I need to update the DNS Server addresses which are configured in tunnel configuration.

If I change the DNS Server IP addresses, would the users be able to connect thru SSLVPN or not?

WIll it be absolutely necessary for users to update the client. There are over 400 users who connect from outside and it is cumbersome process for us to get the client updation done.

Or if there is any alternate way to update the DNS servers on client side?

The client devices are Android Tablets which use OpenVPN to connect. In android device, is it possible to update some file which holds DNS IP addresses to get this updattion done?

  • Hello ,

I do not find any such documentation. You can trust me, I have changed setting like IP v4 DNS and Domain Name.

SSL VPN client configuration is shipped with Protocol, User Certificate, port number Hostname / IP  on which XG is reachable.

If you still have a second thought, I will recommend you to schedule a maintenance window and tack a backup before modifying any setting.

    Regards, Ronak.
