Please further Isolate your VLANS in DHCP and...

Why is your Static DHCP pool not isolated per VLAN? Even Pfsense keeps these things isolated.

This prevents me from swapping VLANs with certain VMs & devices that I like to keep static and quite frankly a VLAN is supposed to be it's own isolated network. Why does XG forego this?

  • Thank you for your response!

There is no excuse from a security perspective that this is not the default.

Utterly misplaces what a VLAN effectively is by not keeping them fully and truly as their OWN NETWORK.

Now I still have to deal with the GUI showing me all of the static IPS when I click on "View" instead of just that pool. Come on guys this is ridiculous. Why even give each pool it's own view button if they all do the same stupid thing?

  • Did you already raised a Feature request for this?

On ideas.sophos.com you can place this as well as you can talk to you sophos sales rep.

It is just hard to find the perfect spot on "which feature should be done first", because you have so many requested features and options and thing, someone wants to get improved.

  • Feature? I don't really understand. The way they implemented would take more time to code than properly isolating them by default.

Pfsense has had this for years. A community supported application. Why don't they just install that and take some notes.
