Hi Flo,

funny you should publish this KBA today because yesterday I was trying to determine how the CCL is applied and could not see it referenced anywhere in email filters or even a place to add it to an existing email filter? The article while very good on building a CCL does not explain how it is applied in the case of the XG.

I expect it is only applied to outgoing mail smtp/s?

Hey Ian,

Correct, it's a protection only enabled for outgoing mail via your configured SMTP Route & Scan Policy. I'll share your feedback regarding getting this note added.

Is there a way to create custom CCL's signature? To make it as a complete DLP solution.

Unfortunately this feature on the XG is currently unavailable, however our team is aware and continually evaluating where to slot this into the road map.

In the meantime, please refer to the Content Control Lists FAQ - CCL Support for any pre-defined CCL requests.
