I have switched from Meraki to Sophos in the past year and the transition has been tough. Sophos is good, but much less user friendly (the cost is also significantly more attractive than Meraki). I know my basic way around routers and the bulk of what I need to do to handle things on the Sophos, but it's all been quite a learning curve. That's my brief backstory so you get a sense of where I stand.
My simple question is how can I test throughput on the Sophos? Although I've checked the ISP line, I honestly want to see the Sophos tell me that it's receiving gigabit speeds. Cause something's hanging it up and I just can't figure out what.
Every single speedtest I run (I use http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest) gives me back speeds that hover around 600/600. I totally understand that I can't expect 1000/1000 all the time, but to lose 400 up and down is just ridiculous. I've tested the incoming line from the ISP and it's solid, so the Sophos XG 125 is the hang up. I've turned off practically every security feature on the Sophos to no significant change in my speedtests.
Thanks in advance - this has been a difficult hunt to find out what I feel like should be a simple process.
