psiphon

Could you plz, help me solving my big problem with psiphon3 as it is still connecting while i have done every thing in blocking it as listed in your chats.

    1/. are you sure it is actually psiphon3 and not an incorrectly classified application eg an Apple update?

    2/. please post a detailed screenshot of your firewall rules.

    Thanks for your reply,,

    I set the ips maxpkts to 70, I created web and application filter and specified http, https,pop3,ismp, in the  (Wan services).

    In the application: deny:ssh,psiphon proxy,dns...,proxy and tunnel,L2TP,P2P

    In the web:  I created a new one: deny: anonymizer,none, per-to-per torrent uncatogorized and some more.

    in scan: scan http, decrypt https

    and still psiphon connected

    In application you will probably need to add block filter avoidance applicationss and block 4 and 5 level applications.

    Iam using firewall xg home edition v17.1.2 and psiphone is still connected, while in sophos xg v 17.0.5 psiphone couldnot be connected using all the setting above.

    Is it because of the new version???

    what is it connected to, which one of your devices is using 'psiphon'?

    wouldn't you be better off identifying which device and which application is using the offending application then workout whether it really is psiphon?

    Firstly, thanks for your reply,

    secondly, what is it connected to ?..... is the psiphon which is my only problem,

    which one of your devices is using psiphon?..... both of them as iam using VMware technology to test (sophos xg firewall home edition)

    before using it on my real machineS (on my small business).

    Thirdly, what i noticed, is that the old version of sophos which is (v17.0.5) the psiphon application is blocked and could not be connected, 

    using sophos firewall settings which are (application filter,web filter, services specified in WAN, ips seting to maxpkts set to 70...as mention before),

    WHILE in the new version (17.1.2 and 17.1.1) with all the sophos firewall settings mentioned in the line before , the psiphon can easilly be connected :(

    Finally, the reason of why i am not  using the version  of sophos (v.17.0.5) then, is forgetting the  password of admin and the sophos id :(

    that is why iam trying the new version of sophos to block the psiphon.

    I do not understand your answer.

    to access psiphon you must have installed the software.

    I tried to download the psiphon software from 2 sites and was blocked both times.

    Please post an actual screenshot of your firewall and your web policies.

    I think my post is clear and what you need to see on the screenshot 

    was explained in details,

    and  about the psiphon software it is   installed on my vmware machines, i dont need to download it.

    anyway, thanks for your help:)
