XG UI Enhancement - When will this get addressed

I came for UTM9 SG105 to a XG115 and am not impressed at the least.

There is no way to search services and hosts for definitions already created, other than a simple filter on the name column.  You have to manually scan the web page looking to try to find something that may or may not exist.

How can you use Service Groups without being able to search and find objects already established.

UTM 9 is significantly better equipped from the Ui to be able to define and manage these definitions.

When will XG get a big usability enhancement as I am contemplating going back to UTM 9 at this point.  Very disappointing for the cost/price

  • Hi,

as far as i know, this is planned for future releases.

This requires a other approach to the Webadmin and base system. UTM can do this because it uses a Config daemon.

And another point from my personal experience, most of the time, the "green plus" in UTM leads to more objects than needed. Most of the admins and configuration partners just created new objects, because "it is faster then using the already created". This is the reason for my honest approach to clean up configs in UTM9. Most of the configs nowadays have X objects without any need. But just my two cents.

What do you mean with "cost/price"? You can migrate the SG for free with the same duration to SFOS.
