Something of interest and intrigue

I  have been investigating why access to a site I regularly visit has failed.

I thought I had caused this with changing some https settings and trying to add spyware and malware blocking to my firewall rules.

I added an exception, no affect. I rolled back to the previous version, still no affect. So I started testing on a W10 PC using IE11 and on my MAC using Safari and FF.

The IE access came back with incorrect TLS settings or out of date TLS versions. the FF and Safari would all fail with unable to setup a secure connection, but the XG was not objecting at all, probably because I have disabled the invalid settings in WEB general.

I enabled the block invalid ssl protocols to see what happens.
