is there any enthusiasm for Sophos to build a reboot scheduler?

Hello

I would like to know if there is any momentum for Sophos to build a scheduler which will automate the reboot process. I am with a small organisation and like the idea of rebooting the XG Firewall once a week. (It definitely does improve after a reboot, and does slowly degrade as time goes by.)

You could build a script on a linux appliance (raspberry pi?) and log into all appliances with SSH and reboot it.

Cronjob etc should be enough.

Oh that my knowledge of Linux was that advanced... Alas I am a Windows person. ('grep' and 'ls' being about the limit of my knowledge of Linux.)

I was hoping that Sophos would include the feature in an upgrade to the firewall, and I was hoping there would be sufficient support in the community for it. (Additional tab on the web GUI perhaps?)

But to be honest, not many votes on it.

And my appliances run until i reboot then in case of a firmware update.

As far as i know, you should not reboot frequently "just in case".

Should be enough to go with the Firmware Update reboot.
