upgrade to SFOS 17.1.2 MR-2

Hi,

After upgrading from SFOS 17.1.1 MR-1 to SFOS 17.1.2 MR-2 all the APs had stopped working: while they were connected and offered connectivity to clients, there was no data from the connected client to the internet, etc. The DHCP server was ok for the APs and for wireless clients, they all got the right IPs. Rebooting with the previous firmware version restored the correct functionality, so there is no any settings issue.

Anybody had WiFi problems after the last upgrade?

  • Hi

I had a similar issue on my brothers home use XG Firewall. After Update to MR2 the connected AP10 didn't came back online. Only special in this installation is, that it's a low end hardware (old UTM120 Rev5. "misused" to run SFOS on it), and I have bridged some of the XG Interfaces together to a bridge for directly connecting the few LAN clients directly to the box without additional switch. Not sure, if it might be kind of timing issue related to the bridge (and the slow hardware)...at the moment it's also back on MR1. If I get some spare time, I'll give a second attempt to update to MR2...

Besides of that specific box all my other MR2 boxes are running fine...

  • Thank you, I have it virtual but CPU < 20% and MEM< 50% usage, so no slow machine. I remember I rebooted one AP (because of the problem, thinking it needs reboot) and after, it worked for a little, then no data for clients anymore. All APs are shown normally and functional. Will try again to boot the last firmware sometime when no many clients connected to have time to debug the problem.
