Images wont load HTTP ERROR 500 Some pages won't load

I am having a problem with one machine. It is a chromium PC.

It wont load images on specific pages, Sometimes it won't load specific pages. I am not sure what it is doing. I have turned off all the extensions. Sometimes allowing cookies clears it up for some images but not all.

I have tried using the policy tester and it comes out clean as well as Google diagnostics all show green. I am not sure what the problem is.

If I try to load one of the images by right clicking and load in new tab It says

This page isn’t working

c.dx.com is currently unable to handle this request.

HTTP ERROR 500

See these Screen shots. It even doesn't load the sophos help images. See the word "Video Library"

just to clear up and identify the issue exactly, this is an XG (firewall) forum so please advise which software product you are referring to?

Does this issue occur when you try other web browsers?

When did you notice this behavior? Was there a recent change to your XG's configuration?

This is mostly on Chromium with Chrome browser.

Although it does also happen in Mint with Firefox.

and in Windows with Chrome

It started when we installed the XG. I thought I had set some of the settings too high and later I backed some of them off. It still wouldn't load. I had it set to Strict and then set it to General.

It is not new. It mostly affects Graphics loading. Sometimes whole pages won't load.

I have allowed all cookies and turned off any popup blockers antivirus etc.

works fine a on a MAC (MBP) with firefox and Safari.

Update:- tried on a W10 with IE and the site c.dx.xom loads without any issues. Also the site is not secure eg it only uses http.

True enough those are all pay sites so HTTPS might be doing it.

I am also trying to edit in wordpress a site and most of the banners won't load.

I do have a filter in Chromium that turns HTTPS on for all sites. I will test with that off too.

You can load chromium on any old pc you have around. It is free at

https://www.neverware.com/freedownload/

The beauty of it is, it revitalizes many old hardware one may have around. It is an encrypted OS too. It is fantastic.

I checked the settings and Scan HTTPS is turned off.

What ever it is doing it is really bumping out graphics. Like Gifs or BMPs or banner ads.

I can't really view a page properly.

Not sure why but every machine has this problem.
