Has anyone found a way to use the hostname in an SPX registration template, versus the IP?
Thanks,
Paul

Hey TSIIT
You should be able to simply utilize a publicly resolvable hostname that resolves to the external IP of your Firewall.

Hello FloSupport,
Sorry, but the hostname we are using does resolve properly for our User Portal, so we know that isn't the issue.
Unfortunately, the REG_LINK variable used in the template only displays the IP and not the selected Hostname.
I was kinda hoping someone found a way to parse out the REG_LINK variable, combined with some other wizardry to manually insert the hostname and transplant the needed recipient code on the end. Only b'cause I feel the certificate error may be a bit disheartening for the receiver of an encrypted message. :)
Thanks,
TSIIT
My bad, I see there is another thread on this subject:
spx-portal-and-external-hostname
Just in case anyone is following this thread, the suggested update in the idea section in the above link does not help change IP to Hostname for the SPX Portal link sent to recipients.
Hopefully it is in the pipeline.
