How to switch primary LAN interface?

Question

When I initially set up my XG210 I used the default LAN (1Gbps) port. Now, I want to switch to using the 4.25Gbps SFP port for the "LAN" interface. The SFP port is connected my switch and has an IP address assigned. What do I need to change next?

Hi, 
 Take a backup and export it. Des your new LAN interface have an address in the same range as the original interface? If yes, in theory you should be able to enable the new interface and disable the old one because both are in the LAN zone. 
 Other changes 
 1/. default gateway 
 2/. maybe DNS 
 3/. DHCP pointing at the new interface 
 4/. any routes you have created 
 5/. any rule directing traffic between networks on your LAN 
 
 Or if you are brave and can login from another interface change the IP address of your new interface to your old interface and put another address on your original interface.

 Don't mind but I don't think that manual adding or removing an IP or default gateway is a good solution for a network. It will not an auto-failover setup and still depend on IT guys to present on the site. 
 
 I hope you are aware of VRRP or other protocol/Dynamic routing etc. It will make the same process to automatic and decrease a headache of IT guys. But due to lack of availability of VRRP option on Sophos, you have a good option as dynamic routing or Floating static routing.
