WAN Gateway keeps going down

Several times per day I receive an email notification that "Gateway DHCP_Port2_GW Went Down"
Exactly 1 minute late, I get a message that "Gateway DHCP_Port2_GW Came Up"
Port 2 is the WAN port

During this time, the Internet is not available and no traffic is passed in or out, so it really is down, not a spurious ping failure.

The XG Firewall in running as a VM on VMWare ESXi 6.5 (free version) with Intel NICs

Any thoughts on how to fix this?
There have been several other similar cases in this forum, but no resolutions

Thanks.

  • Hi,

    things to check,

1/, powers settings on the vm NICs.

2/. network connection type eg auto negotiate?

3/. is the vm nic shared with other VMs?

4/. the stability of the ISP service

5/. the stability of the device you are using as a test for external network connectivity.
