Skype for Business Screen Sharing Fails

Hello,

I have an issue with Skype for Business screen sharing when connecting as a guest to another organization's meeting. This started when we migrated to our Sophos XG 210. I have a rule setup to allow all traffic from our Workstation subnet to the Internet. The Skype meeting works fine and audio is no problem. However, if a guest user tries to share their screen, it works for about 10 seconds then stops with an error message "We had trouble starting your presentation. Please try again." During this period, the other participants can see the shared screen.

The users behind the Sophos Firewall cannot see screens shared by other participants outside our Firewall.

I have tried turning off IPS, Web and Application policies to insure they are not blocking the connection but no luck.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

  • The rule is configured to allow all traffic out to the Internet from workstations on the internal LAN. There are no restrictions. It rewrites the source address to a Public IP that I added as an alias to the WAN interface. I am using the lantowan_general IPS policy, the Default Workplace web policy and Application policies are turned off right now for troubleshooting this and some other access issues.
