Have had Observium monitoring my Sophos box for ages. Works great.
Decided to check into LibreNMS so built a new VM, updated access rule and altered SNMP config such that the new IP address could query the Sophos. I used the same community string.
No joy. I could see inbound udp/161 packets but they went unanswered. All other devices worked with LibreNMS. Drop packet log not showing anything.
I deleted the new SNMP config element in Sophos and both communities disappeared. "Uh oh", says I.
Quickly deduced that something isn't quite as clean under the hood as things would appear so I created a new SNMP config element with a different community string and voila! all works.
I've had a quick scan through the Release notes for MR-9 but no mention of it being fixed. No time at the moment to look through all the 17.xx notes.
Anyone else come across this?
