Help with E-mail Protection Configuration

hope you all doing great 

i have mail server located outside my network and the employees connect to it through outlook (POP3/Custom SMTP)

and i was wonder if i can use the xg firewall to protect the network from mail spam and malware even if the mail server located outside the network 

if yes i need to know how to do this and verify the settings
