SSLVPN CLients - Clarification required

We migrated from CR-100 ING to XG210. The major issue there is :

1. In CR100, there was a single VPN client for all users, only the configuration was different for all users. Whereas in case of XG210, each user has a different SSLVPN Client. We have over 500 people who log in over the internet. It is a big pain to change clients for every user. Is there any way out or a work around ?

2. Is it possible to automate the process of downloading the new client from the Pulich IP : ( port no.) ? If someone has tried with some kind of scripting , please let me know.

  • Hi Chandrashekhar,

We still have a single SSL VPN client for all the users, the configuration file is different to authenticate the users connecting to the XG via VPN which is similar in the Cyberoam.

You can enable User Portal access for the remote Users and they can login to this portal with their User account and download the unique SSL VPN client available in there portal account and connect to the VPN.

Refer the following KB articles  https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/122769 for configuration check and go to Administration > Device Access > WAN > User Portal, select User Portal checkbox in the WAN row.

    Thanks,

  • This answers first part of my question. We have already done what is suggested here.

Has anyone tried any scripts which can help a user download the client automatically?  Its really a pain to change clients/config if we make any changes in configuration.
