What does "Scan HTTP" do?

What does the checking the "Scan HTTP" checkbox do? (Located in Firewall > firewall rule > "web malware and content scanning")

Does it activate some policies somewhere?

Thanks!

In Scan HTTP, all HTTP web traffic is scanned by the scanning engine and settings chosen in Web > General.
