L2TP Remote Access - Error "received IKE message with invalid SPI (47C65B5E) from other side" whenever I try to connect via macOS, Android or iOS

Hi folks,

I hope there is someone out there knowing a solution to this problem:

I made use of these two guides to set up an IPsec protected remote VPN connection

but whenever I try to connect to my Sophos XG I get the following message/s in the SYSTEM log file:

received IKE message with invalid SPI (47C65B5E) from other side

 

Does anyone know how to solve this?

I am connect to my DSL modem with my MacBook and Sophos XG to bypass any kind of port forwarding problems and still no success :-(
