Routing a dedicated LAN-IP though a specific WAN-port (mulitple WAN-ports)

Hello all,

I just worked with me first Sophos-XG Firewall and thanks to you comunity I could solve a the isses.

One is left and I would appreacited help on this.

We have two physical WAN ports running (WAN 1 und WAN 2). We use load balancing on these ports.

We would like to route one Server in LAN based on its IP always (static) through WAN 1 (no matter which service). Basically we would like to "switch" of load balancing for this server.

I played around with routing and firewall but could not find a solution.

Every help would be great!

Thank you in advance!

Mark

  • I'd have thought that having a firewall rule in place for the server for all outbound traffic and then setting the "Primary Gateway" to be the WAN interface you want the traffic to go out of (that is down in the Advanced section on the firewall rule itself) would do the job.
