Static IP for a specific MAC address

Hi there

I've an Odoo server in my company and it consumes huge amount of internet usage so, I need to put it behind Sophos firewall XG in order to control internet connection to this server.

The server has a static IP and I want to assign this static IP with the server's MAC address using Sophos XG and I also want to create a user for this server to be able to monitor and control internet speed connection for the server.

I already have Sophos XG and I set it up successfully and I know how to setup a user account and how to control connection speed but I don't know how to do this with static IPs nor MAC addresses.

Thanks in advance

Note:

I already have DHCP server which assigns IPs automatically to PCs. But there is a particular PC - which is the Odoo Server - and I want to assign a specific static IP out of range of DHCP server and bind it to the server's MAC address and also I want to create a user for this MAC address or this IP in order to set a download/Upload speed for the Odoo server.

The Odoo Server will go live online and must be accessible from WAN side.

  • I have assigned static addresses in the LAN DHCP server that are outside the scope of the DHCP pool.  So long as it is in the same subnet as the DHCP lease is being assigned from then it will provide that address, My pool is x.x.x.25-75 and static IPs are 100-150

If it is not on the same subnet you can set up another DHCP server in XG.  I have 4x DHCP Servers set up (2 separated networks, ipv4 and IPv6).
