reportDB Dead - On-Device reporting is currently Report Migration Failed

I noticed that I had an error "reportDB Dead" with a description of "On-Device reporting is currently Report Migration Failed".  I did some troubleshooting per various articles I found.  I took the following troubleshooting steps below, none of which corrected the problem.  Any ideas of what I can try next?  Thanks in advance!

 

  1. Powercycled server.
  2. Upgraded to "SFOS 17.1.0 GA" from "SFOS 17.0.8 MR-8".
  3. Manual purge of all logs via Reports->Show Reports Settings->Manual Purge.
  4. Logged into Advanced CLI, verified reportDB status of Dead.  Tried to stop, start, and restart the service.  Restarting the service just showed an error of "503 Service Failed".

    If you are willing you may need to re-build your device.

    Steps:

    Take a backup of your configuration. 

    Open console > option 5 > 4

    This would require a reboot if you proceed. Make sure you have a downtime <Few minutes to 10 minutes > should suffice.

    check the status of of your service using Advance Shell. Option 5>3

    #service -S

    If it is running from DEAD then the issue is resolved. Otherwise , you may need to a factory reset and restore the device configuration using Backup.
