Cannot access the XG 110

Hello guys,

I decided to buy finally for myself a hardware firewall and i found an 110 with XG second hand. 

Once i got it, i logged in using a screen and i reset to factory defaults.

I connected a cable on the LAN (Port1) and I connected it directly to my laptop.

I assigned the IP address 172.16.16.17 (tried both /24 and /16) but i was not able to access the XG using either http://172.16.16.16 or http://172.16.16.16:4444 or https://172.16.16.16 or https://172.16.16.16:4444

So I thought connecting to WAN (Port 2) which is on DHCP and the connect it to my network. It didn't get an IP

I then connected it back to the LAN and set an IP from the network. I decided to set the gw but it was not letting me from the menu so i decided to i did it from console using route add default gw. The command worked fine but the result was again nothing and in the menu it still said there is no gateway set. From the device i was not able to ping the gw or do anything.

I spend over 2 hours on this and i can't find why i cannot access the device!

Any ideas would be appreciated!
