Allow Specific youtube videos by video id

Hi,

Any way to allow specific youtube videos and block remaining.

Tried excluding URL and video id as a keyword but still Youtube is is showing getting blocked by app filter.

Appfilter is allow all in my case, only filtering is done in web filter policy.

    Hi,

    I too had same requirement and got this working now. Below is the trick;

    1. Create a new Web Category
    2. Add the googlevideo.com and  s.ytimg.com URLs to it
    3. In the keyword section add the your youtube video id. It's normally the id coming after "v=" in youtube URL
    4. Now in your Web Policy Block "Video Hosting" and above it allow custom category created now
    5. In the firewall rule, do both HTTP and HTTPS scanning
    6. Install Sophos certificate in your end PCs
    7. Now test it, should work. It worked for me.

    Hi There,

     

    I tried the above steps but unfortunately it's not meeting my requirements. When I am trying to open allowed ID's videos on my organization website it is working fine but in the same case full YouTube channel is allowed on other browsers as well.

    Please help me out on this.

    Hello Asheer,

    Were you able to apply HTTPS scanning on the firewall and block QUIC protocol? Please check and also open F12 or browsers developer mode and check which component is not loaded.
