Sophos XG not able to access another Sophos via external ip and port

I have a Sophos XG firewall with a Home Licence. When I try to remote into any of my client's Sophos firewalls, it will not allow me to connect.

I can remote into other firewalls like SonicWall and Fortigate with no problem. Also, If I get on another network or my mobile hotspot I can reach the other Sophos.

I have 1 firewall rule: Any, Any, Allow, All and it still doesn't work. I checked the logs and it shows it going out, but that's it.

I can go to my office which has a Sophos XG and I can connect just fine to other Sophos firewalls.

I think it may have something to do with the Home License. I had the UTM for the last 2 years with the Home License and it did the same.

Any suggestions?

  • Home licence is not the issue. I have had a number of UTMs and a SUM all using home licences and all remotely manageable.

I have also had XGs using home licence and all remotely manageable.

So if it is leaving your home XG what does the other end XG show in the logs?
