XG Active/Passive HA behavior

Hi all,

I'm dealing with 2 XG330 in HA, but I have a doubt about the HA configuration.

Actually, the Ethernet configuration of both XG is:

Port 1,5 in LAG on LAN, and Port 1 go to Switch 1, port 5 on Switch 2 that are configured in stack

Port 2,6 in LAG on WAN, and Port 1 go to Switch 2, port 6 on Switch 2 that are configured in stack

Port 3,7 in LAG on DMZ, and Port 1 go to Switch 3, port 7 on Switch 2 that are configured in stack

Port 8 is for HA, connected to switch 2 only

The same is for passive XG330, but it land on other 2 switches (call them Switch 3/4) and HA is connected to switch 4

Switch Stack 1/2 is connected to Switch Stack 3/4 with optical fiber

Right now, all is working fine, but I have a doubt about HA behaviour. When Switch 2 or Switch 4 will fail (so there will be no more HA connection, but both devices could correctly work on LAN/WAN/DMZ with the other ports of the LAG), what will happen? Will I have a split brain with also a MAC Address flapping, or will the secondary switch check if the management ip of the stack is working before taking the Virtual MAC?

Many thanks
