Registration loop

So I have a bit of an issue with a newly configured XG125.

I was running the setup wizard (which I really don't like this version) and while it was processing the registration portion the browser popped me back to the time-zone screen.  So I continued back through the set-up and when it attempted to register the device it errored saying that the device was already registered.

I completed the configuration as a trial, but now when I browse to System/Administration/Licensing screen I get a "Registration is currently deferred" message.  If I try to follow that link, it returns me to the device already registered screen.  All I need to do is synchronize the stupid thing, but there seems no way to do that in the GUI.

I even wiped the unit back to the base firmware, but still get the same damn issue.

Is there a CLI command or something that can force a sync and bypass this loop of doom?

  • Support eventually was able to resolve.  Apparently, the local SSL certificate got horked during the aborted deployment.  They were able to wipe the local cert and have it regenerate.

Still, I'm slightly concerned that the factory default reset is not a COMPLETE reset.  But that is a *** session for another day.
