Route Remote site through Site 2 Site tunnel in order to access host

Here is our current setup - We have 3 sites, remote site is 192.168.0.0, HQ is 192.168.1.0, and a site to site tunnel to a hosting site where we access one host (192.168.216.3).

The tunnel is configured between HQ and the hosting company, that connection works fine, traffic is passing, no issues. We also have connectivity from HQ to our remote site via a SD/WAN solution. No issues there, traffic is passing as it should.

What I am trying to get done is give the remote site access to the host at the hosting site, but for some reason it appears the XG isn't routing. I have the routes added, and the rules anabled, but any trace performed from the remote site always stops at the XG.

What else should I be looking at on the XG?

  • Are you routing all traffic from your SD/WAN site to your HQ?  Or do you have split tunnel which is only routing selected network/s.  If split-tunnel, you should add the hosting site's network to the split tunnel at the remote site.  Then traffic should pass from the remote -> to HQ -> to Hosting.

  • We have the traffic being split from the remote site

On the remote site we have the hosting site IP being routed to HQ, and it gets to the XG, but then it seems to get lost, It never makes it back to the remote site or the hosting site.
