Certificate Error when I want to connect to the configuration interface

Hello SOPHOS Support,

When i try to logging in my XG firewall  with my id and password (port 4444), I get an error message related to an invalid certificate.
I'm on Windows 10, so I downloaded the 'SecurityAppliance_SSL_CA' and I imported it to my Google Chrome browser. I can see the certificate (in the certificate store) but every time I want to connect to the firewall (port 4444), I receive the same certificate error message.

  • Hello

"SecurityAppliance_SSL_CA" certificate is used by XG only to sign website during "HHTPS Decrypt and Scan". Web admin and user portal uses the default certificate.

To address your issue, you can generate a new self sign certificate from Certificates > Certificates Tab > Add. Now you can download the newly generated certificate and import it in the user browser trusted root certificate store.

You also need to go and select the new certificate in Administration > Admin Setting> Port Setting for Admin Console> Certificate.

    Best luck !!!

    Regards, Ronak
