How do I setup Slovak Telekom IPTV on Sophos XG ?

Hello,

My current router provided by my ISP is really not that good so I decided to try Sophos XG as my FW/router. So I bought an OEM production - 2550L2D-MxPC, Netgear Prosafe GS108PE and a UniFi AC Pro AP. The modem is a Zhone 6712-w1 which is in bridge mode.
Unfortunately I am unable to get the IPTV to work with the Sophos XG. I have found by going through the ISP's forums that my ISP provides internet via VLAN ID 2510 and IPTV via VLAN ID 2513. The Internet service is VDSL and I need to use PPPOE to connect.

How would I go about configuring the Sophos XG to receive Internet on my LAN and deliver IPTV to the STB they provided me ?

I am currently using the Home version of Sophos XG but I would purchase a license if  I can get this to work

Thanks

  • Hi and welcome,

you will not be able to use PPPoE and VLANs on your external interface. You could try using DHCP on your external interface and see if that connects, if so then you can setup your VLANs.

The licence type does not affect the functionality, just the maximum amount of  memory and CPU assigned.
