If I am assigning the proxy port via Group Policy to all my users, do I need to worry about STAS and just let standard NTLM resolution control my user's access to the proxy content?
Reason I am asking is that the AD user authentication seems delayed sometimes like the user is not recognized on the initial connection attempt and must refresh the page multiple times before they are able to connect. The authentication log shows connection and then almost an immediate log off of the same user. If the user is idle for an hour or more, they must repeat the process of refreshing the page to connect. Sometimes this works and sometimes they must log off and back on before the user is authenticated.
Would STAS help correct this if I convert to the transparent proxy?
