XG85 temp space full

Went from 16.05.8 to 17.0.6.  Now having to reboot about once a week. Last message below mentioned no space left and diagnostics showed TEMP space at 100%.  Reboot took it to 13%.  I have http scanning turned on, so I assume that is what caused the error message to display but not why TEMP is filling up.  Had no problems since purchase with v15 through v16.05.8

  • Hi,

I recommend that you take the issue up with support or your reseller/partner. There have been a couple of other posts on a similar vein about the XG85.

  • Hi

Please raise a support case including the info you mentioned here and also reference the ID NC-28174. Please PM me with your support case number so that I can follow up accordingly.

    Thanks,

  • Quick update. Hope to have support connect today.  I noticed the biggest space taken up in /tmp was tslog and eventlogs (77% of all logs).  I was able to slow eventlogs down by disabling Invalid Traffic logging.  I was getting a bunch of those.  Now eventlogs is growing much slower. tslog still growing. The biggest is csc.log and avd.log.

I have had 2 random reboots of the router.  The last one was today and I was monitoring /tmp and it was only 18%, so this problem isn't causing reboots.

  • Little disappointed that we still do not have a fix for the bug NC-28174 of XG85s rebooting due to high memory usage.   We were not notified via email from Sophos about this culprit, workaround, and possible timeline on fixes.

Here's to crossing fingers and hoping we don't need IPS til firmware is released!  Hope I get an email about it.

    Thanks,
