Web Traffic Report for Education (SafeGuarding)

Hi All,

I am currently working with a customer who needs a report of all web traffic in the last 24 hours which was blocked against category, user and the URL for the purposes of Safe Guarding. I have reached out to Sophos directly and got very little in the way of support. We are looking for a simple solution that will output this information using the built in report system so that the schools internal safeguarding team (all non technical) can read the report and clearly see who is doing what.

Other rival platforms complete this out the box so its clear that we need to get this sorted ASAP. If anyone has an idea how to create a report that will give this information it would be much appreciated. The schools previous system exported data as shown below;

    Hi,

    with my limited experience (I do not have all the features enabled you asked for in the report) in report generation you will have to use a custom report generation.

    The screenshot below might give you a guide as to where to start.

    Some of the more experienced support people might look in and help, eg FloSupport or ManBearPig.

    Thanks Ian,

     

    I have been using this the issue is it shows all web traffic, you have to then manually filter the content in certain categories, when running this report off on a normal day it has over 2000 lines which makes it unmanageable, I need to be able to shape the report more to achieve the result the client is after.

    Hi Janes,

    2 options

    1/ this will get you report that you can sort on within the report, see screenshot.

    Those funnels allow some level of filtering.

    2/. is create a feature request for improved reporting eg greater granularity in the web report or something like that.

     

    Currently you can email a report, but it only has 50 records.
