red tunnel compression changes

SFOS 17.0.6 MR-6

is it necessary to download a new provisioning file from the server xg and recreate the RED interface on the client xg after enabling or disabling compression on the RED interface on the server xg?

  • answering my own question - a brief RED network connectivity interruption happens and the client XG logs entries below after enabling compression on the server XG RED interface so it looks like it's not necessary to download a new provisioning file after enabling.  A way to query active RED interface connection details would be useful.
