Import Group Wizard hangs at "Select AD groups to import"

When I try to import groups from AD it hangs at Step 2 "Select AD groups to import" with an hourglass icon, and shows nothing in the AD Groups or Selected Groups window.

I have changed LDAP to use port 389 and run a tcpdump and I can see that the LDAP query is returning the correct results, so I know I have things configured correctly.

Also users are being authenticated via STAS, so that is working too.

What can I do to diagnose this freeze?

Also, the Import Group Wizard will open in the logging window if that is open, which is annoying.

  • OK it turns out this is an IE11 thing (and F12 confirms that there is a bug in the javascript on that page). It does work in Chrome.

    Does Sophos specify which browsers are compatible? I recall that I couldn't register an XG device under Edge browser.
