Open FTP ports

Hi All,

Days ive been looking into this but I cant get it to work. How do I open ports 21 and 20000-21000 to a specific machine? I use XG version 17 MR6.

Hi Jeffery,

please post a detailed screenshot of your firewall rule and some log entries showing the failed attempts to connect.

Hi Jeffery,

I would suspect that your ftp server is using different control ports? When you try to connect what error message do you receive and what does the log viewer show for new connections?

my FTP server uses 21 and 20000-21000 for passive. still checking the logviewer of what im missing

21 is allowed, but ports 20000-21000 are denied.

Nevermind, I found it.

The FTP object for the passive services was mapped from 20000:21000 to 20000:21000, but that was wrong, I needed to set this from 1:65535 to 20000:21000
