How to restart the msyncd process?

Does anyone know how to restart the msyncd process?  I was testing HA Active/Auxiliary failover which worked fine, but when I fail back to original primary and then try to disable HA to add another port to monitor, msyncd stops.  Rather than rebooting does anyone know the proper CLI command to get this service running again?

I just submitted ticket to support, but I am impatient  :-)

Thanks,

-Scott

  • I got the command: service msync:start -ds nosyncservice msync:start -ds nosync   but it turned out not to help me.

At the end of the day, my real problem in getting HA working was I should only try monitoring the LAN port and not try monitoring the WAN port as well (I think).  That caused too many issues (I had done a faliover and a failback previously) and it left the Auxilary device in a weird state where I could not add Port 2 as a monitored port any more on the Primary XG. I had to reboot the Auxillary device to get port2 to start being monitored.  But then after talking to Support they suggested only monitoring LAN. So that's where I leaving that.
