Sophos Sandstorm broken in browser. Getting err_empty_response message upon submital of file to be scanned.

Greetings. Sophos Sandstorm does not appear to be functioning properly. I have everything configured as should, the XG unit will detect the file for submital, but while the browser is waiting for a response it goes to a page that has the IP address of the XG unit at port 8090 with an error message that says, "err_empty_response" on the page. This error happens with Chrome, when I try IE I get a cert. error and then a "page can't be displayed" error.  Anyone know the cause of this?  Looking at the Sandstorm logs it appears as though it is working on the backend, but I can't figure out what is breaking the browser.

  • Hi,

it‘s an public certificate issued on the fqdn of the hostname. The dns name of the sophos xg is resolved to the internal IP. All Clients can successfully log in to the User Portal and Captive Portal over Port 8090 without certificate issues.
