I need to set up a policy for my Xbox One, can anyone help me?

I currently use the cisco rv325 router, with the following settings subnet VLAN for Xbox one:

My network topology

Router Settings cisco RV325

Server Settings XG Firewall

This setting is not working, NAT strict appears

  • This is how I run my Xbox One (and Apple TV) - I added it to a rule that bypasses any policy/filtering and allows access to 'Any Host' on 'Any Service'.

I don't run any port forwarding and I will typically see NAT moderate or open. I've had no issues with online multiplayer in Destiny 2 or PUGB but depending on the game, it may require specific ports to be forwarded.

Edit: Just realized your network setup is quite different as I don't run a VLAN and my Sophos XG is also my DHCP server & router. I'm not quite sure if I even understand your setup looking at the network topology, but wouldn't you need to port forward on Sophos XG to your router and not directly to the Xbox? Also your 'Source Network' should be set to 'Any' instead of your WAN IP address (which I'm assuming is what you have blanked out that ends in 216.192.

  • My problem is a sophos firewall server configuration, the setup between the xbox and cisco router is ok.

An xbox connection goes through the cisco router, but it does not go through the sophos up to an internet, this is the problem and I do not know how to configure it.

I'll try what you said, thanks.
