Sophos XG Antivirus Service failing to start

I recently pushed a v17 upgrade to my firewalls but had to downgrade for IPSEC VPN issues. Once back to where I was before (v16 MR8) my Antivirus service has been failing to start. Also my Avira AV and Sophos AV pattern updates are failing to apply.

I've had to disable malware scanning in order to allow my employees access to the internet but need to get this functionality back up ASAP.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • I have the same issue after downgrade from v17 to v16.

    And open a case for  it.

    Support  team resolved the issue, and can't share the method with me.

    Since it used some paths that can't share with end users.

    Maybe you can open a case,  and let support team resolve it for you.
