XG on Win10 Hyper-V Security

Hi everyone,

Currently my main router is pfsense and in a separate box I am running Sophos XG (bare metal) in transparent bridge mode. I tried XG with Hyper-V 2016 server and it was successful and performed well. I did have issues with Hyper-V Server itself (remote connection issues)  which is why i am considering windows 10 pro as the hyper v host.

My question is, if I use XG in routing mode in win10 hyper-v, behind pfsense, am I compromising security in a major way? The Win10 system will connect through pfsense, so it is not directly connected to the internet. I wanted to leverage the hardware for additional purposes (file server, etc). I realize it's not as secure as bare metal, but is it much less secure?

thanks for any advice!
