I know how to change the pool - that's not what I asked.

I want to know how to use a pool of addresses outside of your local network, but still allowing traffic to flow.  An example....

My internal network could be 194.168.2.0 (255.255.0.0)

I'd like to use an address pool of 196.168.100.0 - 196.168.100.254.  If I try that now, no traffic flows.  I know I'd need to setup an access rule, but what would that require?

Shaun, check that the L2TP client knows the network and check on XG if traffic is blocked, flows, etc.

Please provide some logs.

No worries - problem solved.  Some newbee forgot to put the right default gateway on the server being tested from the VPN (smacks head).  For the record, it works as expected if the pool is outside the internal network.
