Connection List showing no records

So I've got a XG210 and a XG135 here that both list nothing under Diagnostics >> Connection List

No filters applied but it's showing "No Records Found"

Both are currently running v17 MR-5 but issue existed in MR-3 before i did the upgrade

This doesn't seem to be normal behavior or am I missing something.

Anyone else experiencing this?

  • I had a support case raised with Sophos support on this and was escalated to their product development team and confirmed as a bug in the current SFOS. I think from v17 and above as it seems to be an issue with Synchronized app control.

In my case, I had them revert the Packet Capture engine which drives all of this to a previous version and it resolved the issue. However, the side effect is that synchronized app control no longer works and although we can see live connection information by host / IP now, we can't see the applications that are making the connections. This was a sufficient fix for my specific scenario (for the time being) as my client was experiencing intermittent WAN flooding and we needed to work out the host that was responsible. Didn't care too much about the application.

We've now been able to identify the culprit host and put measures in place to address the issue with the WAN flooding. So end result for me was positive for me.

Support and product dev. will be keeping me posted on when the actual fix is due to be implemented and I will post back here when it is so anyone else experiencing this will be able to resolve the issue (with a firmware update).
