Strange initial setup

Question

I have installed the latest Sophos XG home install and have managed to get most of the way apart from registration. 
 
 Fibre Router ISP >> 192.168.0.0/24 >> Sophos XG Home (On PONDESk Atom 4 port) 172.16.16.16 >> Mac >> 17.16.16.17 
 Here are the symptoms: 
 - Unable to register (Sophos.com not identified) 
 - Have gone in and dashboard shows Wan 2 active 
 - Diagnostics, I able to ping from Port 2 (WAN) but not port 1, therefore suspected routing 
 - Static route 0.0.0.0 next hop 172.16.16.16 
 - Still same issues 
 Looking to get past first base and register device, any help would be much appreciated.

 PS the plan is to go Fibre Router >> Sophos >> Ubiquiti (USG,USW,AP) kit once I have got this basic setup correct

Sorted, there was a wrong DNS setting on the Mac, thanks

Hi Mike, 
 Remove the static route and simply create a LAN_WAN allow rule. Change the DNS server IP addresses and resync, let us know if that helps?. 
 We have received several queries where the customer was facing issues with license synchronization but they were only resolved after reimaging. Take the above steps before reimaging the device.
