RDP firewall rule not working

Hi everyone,

I hope that somebody will be able to help me with my issue.

Problem is that I am trying to setup port-forwarding rule for host 192.168.1.15:3389 which I have defined.

I have set up everything as shown here https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/122976 but still I cant connect and I don't even see any entry in logs.

I have defined:

- Destination network which is my WAN interface using dynamic IP over PPPoE,

- Services where I have defined RDP with values of 3389:3389 TCP,

- Protected servers Remote Access Host with IP adress of 192.168.1.15.

I have tried to remake this rule with Rewrite source address (MASQ) and without.

And checked that Traffic is logged.

Before I have deployed XG FW in Hyper-V virtual machine I was using Mikrotik for routing and fire-walling and there it worked flawlessly.

Thanks.

  • Yes! Thank you I was away from country so I wasnt able to test it but it does work changing source port to 1:65535.

If I want to port forward webserver I need to use same method?? And is it secure?

last question do I need to keep masquerading? It seems to be working with and without.

    Thank you!
