Help Sophos XG - Interfaces

Hello,

I would like some help with Sophos XG. I have this setup running in Sophos UTM and I'm looking to migrate Sophos XG.

I have a Switch with 2 Vlans (20 and 30) in TRUNK with porta (PORT1) Sophos XG

I want to make the following configuration in XG:

PORT1.20 (Vlan 20): Network 192.168.20.0/24
PORT1.30 (Vlan 30): Network 192.168.30.0/24

But unlike the Sophos UTM version, Sophos XG forces me to configure the PORT1 (No Vlan). What would be the best configuration in this scenario?

Thank you!

  • I would advise to run your UTM two more years.  Wait for version 20.  XG is in reality a BETA product under development.

  • If you can't wait until the v20 version of XG, then try this.

1/. create the physical port and assign it an address range of at least 4 IPs just so you have a backdooor if required.

2/. create each of the VLANs you require.

From memory you cannot use the Portx.xxx in a network on the XG configuration. So it will be 'any' or setup the IP range for each rule.
