Hi XG Community!
We've released Sophos Firewall Manager SFM 17.1 MR6. Initially, the firmware will be available by manual download from the Licensing Portal. We will gradually release the firmware via auto-update to customers.
This release allows firewalls currently managed by SFM to be easily migrated to Sophos Central for management.

- Migrate firewall management from SFM to Sophos Central
How to migrate:
- Select the desired firewall group, and go to Synchronised Security. e.g.: Device-Configuration(all devices) =>synchronised security
- Enter Sophos Central credentials of the account the firewall should be moved to
- Click Register and when prompted, choose the scheduled time to perform the action
- In the event viewer, confirm registration was successful for all firewalls
- Select the desired group again, then navigate to Synchronized Security => Security Heartbeat
- Enable Security Heartbeat (optional)
- Enable Synchronized Application Control (optional)
- Enable Manage from Sophos Central
- Click Apply and when prompted, choose the scheduled time to perform the action
- Once the action completes successfully, the firewall will no longer be managed by SFM, and will appear in the Sophos Central dashboard, awaiting approval to be managed.
