when I am trying to reinstall SMC getting error "cannot get license: MAXIMUM REGISTERS REACHED"

Hi Team,

I am trying to reinstall "Sophos Mobile control" and getting below error. Attached error screeenshot

"cannot get license: MAXIMUM REGISTERS REACHED".

I reinstalled MS SQL and JDK

Please guide.

Hi Sharmila, when you enter an Activation Key within the Configuration Wizard, a connection to a Sophos server is established to verify the current status of that specific key. Each key can be used with 3 different URLs. Once those three URLs are used, the error message you see is shown when using the key again. I have now internally reset the count for that key. If you expierence this issue again, please open a support ticket to initiate the reset. Important:  please make sure that you enter a proper FQDN within the "SMC server name" field which is resolvable from outside your network. The FQDN you enter in that field is used afterwards by all clients to perform the synchronization! Best regards Stefan :56240
